Abstract

AbstractA 4‐year‐old, male, neutered pug was referred for brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome evaluation. The patient had a history of exercise and warm weather intolerance, causing chronic clinical signs of nasal discharge and reverse sneezing. A computed tomography scan revealed an unerupted tooth within the left nasal cavity and rostral left nasal meatus with an associated cystic lesion, extending to the right side, causing complete obstruction of the nasal passage. The left maxillary canine tooth (204) was surgically extracted, and the surrounding cystic lining was extirpated. Histopathology identified the structure as a dentigerous cyst, with complete tissue margins, supporting a reduced likelihood of local recurrence. After 7 months, the patient had significantly improved and had no further episodes of nasal discharge.
