Abstract
Prunus necrotic ringspot virus (PNRSV) is an important virus that infects stone fruit trees. In this study, we determined the complete genomic sequence of a PNRSV Chinese sweet cherry isolate designed as PNRSV-ChrYL (GenBank accession numbers KT444701-KT444703). The RNA1, RNA2 and RNA3 of PNRSV-ChrYL are 3,321 nt, 2,592 nt and 1,954 nt in size, respectively. The RNA1 and RNA2 encode the putative replicase protein P1 and P2, respectively. The movement protein (MP) and coat protein (CP) are encoded by RNA3. Phylogenetic analyses based on the MP and CP genes revealed that PNRSV-ChrYL clustered with the PV32 group. This is the first report of complete genome sequence of PNRSV in China.
