Abstract
RDJLΦ2, a lytic phage that infects the marine bacterium Roseobacter denitrificans OCh114, one of the model organisms of the Roseobacter clade, was isolated. Here we report the overall genome architecture of RDJLΦ2. Morphological and genome analysis revealed that RDJLΦ2 is a siphovirus with a 63.5kb genome that contains 76 putative gene products.
