Abstract
ABSTRACTThe genus Acidianus is composed of facultatively aerobic archaea growing on elemental sulfur as an energy source. Here, we report the 2.58-Mb complete genome sequence of Acidianus sp. strain HS-5, which was isolated from a sulfur hot spring located in Unzen, Japan.
