Abstract

We describe a 32-year-old female presenting with profound left ventricle dysfunction due to postpartum cardiomyopathy and requiring venous-arterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (VA-ECMO), in whom complete left heart thrombosis was found later in the course. Lab studies were confirmatory for heparin-induced thrombocytopenia triggering the intra cardiac thrombosis.
