The US National Cancer Institute defines an individual as a cancer survivor from the time of cancer diagnosis, through the balance of his or her life
Evidence from qualitative studies informs us that supportive care is wanted by cancer patients but it is felt there is a lack of appropriate support services
Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) can play an important role in this approach. This is why we felt it was important to propose a special issue on CAM and cancer survivorship
