Abstract
En esta revisión se describe la síntesis, caracterización de complejos pincer con metales de transición Pd(II), Ni(II) y Cr(III), su comportamiento catalítico como iniciadores en reacciones de polimerización de etileno en presencia de un cocatalizador. Además, se discute cómo influye en las actividades y propiedades del polímero: la naturaleza y cantidad de cocatalizador, la estructura y propiedades electrónicas de los ligandos y la variación en la temperatura. Los polímeros que se obtienen son lineales, de alta densidad y caracterizados mediante FT-IR, DSC y GPC.
