Abstract

The objective of the research was to identify and measure the factors that influence the competitiveness of agricultural research projects. Nineteen research projects that were executed by the INCAGRO program in four regions (Amazonas, San Martín, Loreto and Ucayali) were analyzed. The factorial analysis grouped 22 variables into four factors: F1, Knowledge-facilities; F2, Funds; F3, Plans and F4, Impact. The estimated regression model Y = 3.421 + 0.391F1 +0.197F2 + 0.193F3 -0.051F4 (R2: 0.89) was used and Spearman's non-parametric correlation coefficients indicated that, to improve the competitiveness of research projects, it is It is essential to have qualified professionals, experimental fields, availability of laboratories equipped with the latest technology, in addition to having access to the national and international scientific and technological information system. The results obtained are relevant for agricultural research and extension projects in order to improve competitiveness.
