Abstract

The present research work was conducted with the aim of determining the relationship between professional competences and labor trajectory of the graduates from the Faculty of Economic Sciences at the Universidad Nacional de Trujillo in 2019. The study population consisted of 178 graduates from the Faculty of Economic Sciences, including graduates from the fields of Administration, Accounting, and Economics. The survey technique was employed to measure both variables, using a questionnaire as the instrument, both of which exhibited high statistical reliability as determined by Cronbach’s alpha. The research followed a correlational design without an experimental component. Through the analysis of the gathered information, it was concluded that a direct positive relationship exists, as evidenced by a Spearman correlation coefficient of 0.532. This indicates that higher levels of professional competences are associated with better labor trajectories.
