Abstract

The objective of the study was to determine the influence of managerial competencies on the administrative effectiveness of the Regional Health Management of La Libertad in the year 2022. To achieve this, a quantitative approach of an applied nature was employed, using a non-experimental cross-sectional design with correlational level. A sample of 169 employees was selected from a total population of 300 within the Gerencia Regional de Salud de La Libertad. These participants were administered two surveys, which were validated through expert judgment and the Cronbach's alpha coefficient test. The results revealed that managerial competencies exhibited a deficiency level of 48.8%, while the administrative effectiveness reached 49.4%. It was concluded that there is a direct relationship of large magnitude (0.50 ≤ rs = 0.91 ≤ 1.0) between managerial competencies and administrative effectiveness. This indicates that 83% of the variability in administrative effectiveness can be attributed to the managerial competencies of the employees in the Regional Health Management of La Libertad in the year 2022.
