Abstract

Abstract In addition to contractual claims, unfair dismissal, and discrimination, Employment Tribunals have power to award compensation in a wide variety of other jurisdictions. Foremost amongst these in statistical terms are disputes over payment of wages (Part II of the Employment Rights Act 1996) and redundancy payments (Part XI of the Employment Rights Act 1996). This section of the book covers the remedies available in Employment Tribunals in some (though not all) of those jurisdictions.
