Abstract

Results for d σ/d t ( π − p→ π 0n) for 5–18 and 20–101 GeV/ c, from CERN and FNAL respectively, are compatible with a single set of ϱ-Regge pole parameters, contrary to first appearances. These data are simulataneously fitted to a ϱ+ ϱ′ parametrization, together with polarizations, cross section differences Δσ t = σ t ( π − p) − σ t ( π + p) , and continuous moment sum rules. A small discrepancy with Δσ t remains, possible to systematic error or a 1 2 % charge-symmetry breakdown.
