Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of nitroglycerin and Sodium Nitroprus-side on relaxing spasm of radial artery. In percutaneous radial artery approach for coronary intervention(PCI).Methoda 160 patientson Aug, 2006 to Jun 2008 were collected. All of the 160 patients received percutaneous radial artery approach for coronary interven-tion and were divided into group A and group B by arterial injection with Sodium Nitroprus-side or nitroglycerin. The age and gender of patients were no significant difference in two groups. After puncture of the radial artery successfully, the patients in group A were arterial injection Sodium Nitroprusside and group B arterial injection nitroglycerin. All of patients received PCI. Observe the incidence of radial arleriospasm. Results The two groups, the incidence of radial artefiospasm was 1.25%(1/80)VS12.5%(10/80). This differ-ence was significant statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion The Sodium Nitroprus-side is better than nitroglycerin in relaxing spasm of radial artery. Key words: Sodium nitroprusside; Nitroglycerin; Radial arteriospasm
