Abstract

Glass marble dust trap, wet dust trap and glass marble dust trap has been used for dust fall collection, which occurred on May 10, 2005, and March 9–10, 2006 in Hohhot. Then the particle size for collected dust samples has been analyzed. The results showed a particularly broad particle size within the dust storms, ranging from 0.013 mm to 1 mm and the predominant sizes were 0.05 mm to 0.25 mm, which was 63.39% of the total sample. The other particle size distributions summed to 36.61%. These sizes are relatively small, and the particulates had silt and sand textures. The amount of wet dust received significantly greater than the glass ball, but the latter received a better response to dust the raw material form of dust.
