Abstract
Objective To investigate the safety and efficacy of drug eluting balloon (DEB) and drug-eluting stent (DES) on coronary in-stent restenosis (ISR). Methods Eighty-three patients with coronary ISR admitted to the Department of Cardiology of the Seventh People’s Hospital of Zhengzhou from January 2016 to February 2017 were selected. And they were divided into paclitaxel-eluting balloon group (DEB group, n=39) and paclitaxel-eluting stent group (DES group, n=44) according to the treatment methods. The incidence of adverse cardiovascular events, the number of ISR cases, the minimum lumen diameter and the lumen stenosis rate of the two groups were compared. Results There was no significant difference in incidence of adverse cardiovascular events, the number of ISR cases, the minimum lumen diameter or the lumen stenosis rate between DEB group and DES group (P>0.05). Conclusions DEB in treatment of ISR is safe and feasible, and the curative effect is not inferior to DES re-implantation. Key words: Drug-eluting balloons; Drug-eluting stents; In-stent restenosis
