Abstract
Objective To compare the success rate of arteriovenous puncture guided by B-ultrasound and common arteriovenous puncture. Methods A total of 268 patients who underwent arteriovenous puncture in Guangzhou Chinese Medicine Hospital from October 2017 to June 2018 were enrolled in the study. And they were randomly divided into observation group and control group, with 134 cases in each group. Patients in control group were treated by common arteriovenous puncture for placing catheter, and patients in observation group were implanted with catheter by arteriovenous puncture guided by B-ultrasound. The initial puncture success rate, total puncture success rate, puncture operation time and satisfaction were compared between the two groups. Results The initial puncture success rate and total puncture success rate of observation group were significantly higher than those of control group (P<0.05). The puncture operation time of observation group was also significantly shorter than that of control group (P<0.05). The total satisfaction of observation group on puncture was higher than that of control group (P<0.05). Conclusions The success rate of arteriovenous puncture guided by B-ultrasound is high, the puncture time is short, and the patient’s satisfaction with puncture is high. Key words: Arterial puncture; Venipuncture; B-ultrasound guided; Success rate
