Abstract

In conclusion, mechanisms of CB, as assessed by IVUS, do not differ significantly from BA, and consist mostly of additional stent expansion and a decrease in neointimal mass by a combination of compression and axial redistribution. The findings do not support the hypothesis that CB for the treatment of in-stent restenosis could be superior to conventional BA.
