Abstract
Abstract: In Operations Research, the transportation problem is one of the predominant area and it is widely used as a decision making tool in many fields. We report the basic feasible solution and hence the methods to attain the optimal solution of the balanced transportation problem. Keywords: Transportation Problem, North-West Corner Method, Least Cost Method, Vogel’s Approximation Method.
