Abstract

Objective To compare the therapeutic effects of pulmicort respules inhalation and intravenous injection of dexamethasone on children with acute infectious laryngitis. Methods From February 2013 to November 2014, 94 cases of acute infectious laryngitis children were selected. All of the 94 cases were randomly divided into experiment group (n=47) and control group (n=47). The experimental group was treated with atomizing inhalation of pulmicort. The control group was treated with intravenous injection of dexamethasone. The relevant circumstances were observed and recorded in the two groups, such as the condition to improve the situation, the effective rate of the treatment and symptoms disappear time. Results The physical signs were significantly better than before treatment. After treatment, the physical signs in the experiment group were significantly better than those in the control group. In the experiment group, the symptoms disappeared time was shorter than that of the control group. The total effective rate (100%) in the experiment group was higher than that in the control group (91.49%). Conclusions Compared with dexamethasone, atomization inhalation pulmicort srepules has advantages in treatment of children with acute infectious laryngitis.
