Abstract
Marked similarities are found between the experimental electron‐density maps for sodium thiosulfate, Na2S2O3, and the theoretical maps for amidosulfuric acid, NH2SO3H. Quantum chemical calculations and determinations of the deformation density in the region of the SO bond and the lone pair on oxygen are reported.
