Abstract
ZnSe nanocrystals were prepared by a hydrothermal method and their photocatalytic properties were investigated as a function of the ZnSe nanocrystal size. At the beginning of the photocatalytic reaction, the smaller-sized ZnSe nanocrystals demonstrated better H2O2 production performance (12.84 mmol g-1h−1) than the larger-sized ones (12.29 mmol g-1h−1). In the long run, the smaller-sized ZnSe nanocrystals suffered from severe photocorrosion and showed inferior H2O2 production ability.
