Abstract

The MTI Photoscreener (MTI) is commonly used for vision screening. This method is expensive and difficult due to cost and ongoing issues with camera and film availability. The Vision in Preschoolers study (VIP) demonstrated the usefulness of an alternative screening device, the SureSight™ Autorefractor (SSA). We compare both of these methods on 100 consecutive patients in a prospective, randomized, blinded, clinical trial. Methods: One hundred consecutive patients between 1 and 6 years of age were included in the study.
