Research methods. The following were used in the work: coefficients and growth rates, grouping, ranking according to the studied parameters of the standard of living. The method of grouping, correlation, regression, imputation, statistical evaluation, description, comparison, analysis, synthesis, normalization and integral evaluation method. The study was based on the application of the basic techniques of Safiullin M.R. and Kocheryagina N.V. Results. As part of the study, a team of authors obtained an assessment of the standard of living of the population in China and Russia, characterized on the basis of qualitative and quantitative indicators using published statistical data.
