Abstract

Kazakhstan has a unique climate that is best suited for camel breeding. Camel breeding in the Republic of Kazakhstan has ample opportunities to develop the industry and integrate this type of food both inside the country and outside of it. According to available data, in 2017 the volume of agricultural products in Kazakhstan is estimated at about 7 million tons per year, the average annual growth in food production is 7 %.Due to its high nutritional value and therapeutic properties, camel’s milk can be evaluated as an alternative source of preventive nutrition for the world population. Analysis of the distribution of urban and rural population in Kazakhstan for the period 2016–2017 years shows an increase in the number of urban population from 56.8 % to 57.2 % and a decrease in the number of rural population by 0.4 %. The increase in the number of urban population of Kazakhstan and the quality of life in recent years leads to an increase in the need for resources, including energy. Assessing the requirements of the livestock sector, it can be stated that camel husbandry is the most economical in comparison with the cow management, in particular, on energy supply of animal conditions, fodder conservation for the winter period. In addition, energy consumption can be partially compensated by using biogas based on organic camel waste, experience of which is available in Kazakhstan.
