Abstract

Objective To compare the effects of aspirin plus ticagrelor or clopidogrel in the treatment of acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Methods A total of 108 patients with ACS diagnosed and treated from January 2015 to June 2018 in Shanxi Provincial People’s Hospital were retrospectively analyzed. According to the random number table method, they were divided into observation group and control group, with 54 cases in each group. The control group was given aspirin + clopidogrel dual therapy, and the observation group was given aspirin + ticagrelor dual therapy. The effects of treatment, adverse drug reactions, and cardiovascular adverse events were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 98.15% (53/54), and which was 88.89% (48/54) of the control group. The total effective rate of the observation group was higher than that of the control group (P<0.05). The proportion of nausea and vomiting, rash, mild hemorrhage and dry mouth in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.05). The proportion of cardiovascular adverse events in the observation group with angina pectoris, heart failure, malignant arrhythmia, and stroke were lower than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions The effect of ticagrelor in the treatment of ACS is better than that of clopidogrel, which is helpful to reduce the risk of cardiovascular adverse events. The drug safety is high and it is recommended for clinical application. Key words: Acute coronary syndrome; Ticagrelor; Clopidogrel; Aspirin
