Abstract

Coefficients for transition moment matrix elements of the OH group of methanol in different solvents were calculated using approximation methods and Morse-potential wavefunctions. A comparison of the obtained results shows that both methods produce nearly the same values except for three coefficients which are needed to calculate the third dipole moment derivative.
