Abstract
AbstractIn the paper the BEM and FEM results have been compared in the context of 2D electromagnetic field analysis in a zoned medium with eddy current subregions. The practical problem concerning the turbogenerator end region has been discussed. The magnetic flux density over the surface of the end package and the current density in the non‐magnetic pressure plate have been analysed.
