Abstract

The linear attenuation coefficients (μ) of various marble concretes have been studied in gamma energies 662, 1173, and 1332 keV by using the GEANT4 Monte Carlo simulation. The simulated results were then compared with experimental data, and a good agreement was observed for the concretes involved. The obtained results reveal that the concrete namely NM20 has higher μ and lower transmission factor among the selected concretes.
