Abstract

Methods proposed by several authors for correction of dead-time losses in the gamma-ray spectrometry of very short-lived nuclides are reviewed and discussed. Experimental results obtained using four of the simplest ones are presented. The choice of the proper method for each dead-time range is discussed.
