Abstract
In this article we present a comparison of resonant converters operating above the resonant frequency of the oscillating circuit. The converters under consideration are the two basic structures (the series resonant converter and the parallel resonant converter) as well as the series parallel resonant converter with capacitive filter. For each of these structures, the state equations of each operating sequence are formulated and theoretical and experimental results are presented for comparison. We conclude by outlining a 1-kW module for each structure.
