Abstract

Is there any difference in expressions of pluripotent and germline stem cell markers in the ovary and its ovaian surface epithelium according to the female age in a mouse model? Ovarian surface epithelium(OSE) of aged mouse also express pluripotent and germline stem cell markers although the expression of some markers was decreased compared to those of young mouse ovarian surface epithelium. Juvenile and adult mouse ovaries possess mitotically active germ cells that are needed to continuously replenish the follicle pool.
