Abstract
• Foreign bodies of the nose are a common phenomenon in children presenting to a healthcare provider. • Pediatric nasal foreign bodies have a high rate of removal success (>80%) regardless of presentation setting. • Failed attempts at removal by non-Ear Nose Throat specialists significantly decrease the likelihood of removal success. • Improperly treated nasal foreign bodies can require children to be sedated with general anesthesia for removal.
