Abstract
New innovations and the latest technology has brought about revolutionary changes in the branch of medical science enabling us to be more enthusiastic about health monitoring system. As people are more prone to cardiovascular diseases now-a-days, innovative heart rate monitoring system has now been getting popular. But only monitoring system is not enough in case of emergency need of medication and treatment. During cardiac arrest cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) should be administered by a trained person. For this reason a message is needed to be sent to an authorized person or a doctor. This paper focuses on measuring heart rate with Arduino and sensor using noninvasive method with sending an emergency and urgent message via Global System for Mobile (GSM) communication module and radio frequency (RF) module, and a comparison between the two modules is made with respect of speed, reliability and cost.
