Abstract

CyberKnife has been proposed as a new treatment technology for accelerated partial breast irradiation (APBI). Detailed dosimetric studies for CyberKnife-based APBI are critically needed before it can be offered routinely to patients. In this dosimetric study, CyberKnife treatment planning was performed and dose calculations by Monte Carlo (MC) and ray-tracing (R-T) method were compared.
