Abstract

Objective To compare the efficiency and security of integrated flexible and rigid ureteroscope and electronic flexible ureteroscope combined with Holmium laser for treatment of renal stones. Methods From September 2015 to march 2017, 120 patients with renal stones were treated by electronic flexible ureteroscope (65 cases, group A) or integrated flexible and rigid ureteroscope (55 cases, group B), the data in the two groups were compared. Results No significant differences in operative time, complication rate, postoperative hospital stay and stone-free rate were found. Cost and duration of therapy were significantly different between the two groups (P<0.05). Conclusion Integrated flexible and rigid ureteroscope in the treatment of renal stones is minimally invasive, safe and effective, although less than electronic flexible ureteroscope in definition of surgical fields, but is better in opertation effect, cost and duration of therapy, worthy of further application and promotion. Key words: Sun's ureteroscope; Ureteroscope; Holmium laser; Renal stones
