Abstract

Regularities in the hydrogeochemical and geodynamic conditions were compared in the regions of the central West-Siberian megabasin, neighboring the Koltogorskaya–Tol’kinskaya suture zone. No regularities were shown to exist between the changes in groundwater chemistry and the tectonic conditions of the early period of basin development. The relatively recent or currently active tectonic processes were found to correlate with the distribution of groundwater mineralization in all aquifer systems and, partially, for individual components of ion–salt composition.
