All of the patients were investigated with the Chinese Version of Family Cohesion and Adaptability Scale (FACESⅡ-CV) and Herth Hope Index (HHI) to compare hope among patients with different family types. Results Subjects were divided into the balance type family (30 cases) , the intermedius type (32 cases) and the extreme type (48 cases) according to the survey findings of FACESⅡ-CV. There were statistical differences in hope among ACE patients with different family types (P<0.01) .
