Abstract
Background: Burn is painful, and burn wound healing is a prolonged process. This study aimed to compare the effects of Honey Wax and Olive oil with 1% Silver Sulfadiazine (SSD) dressing on burn wound pain attenuation and healing. Methods: Patients with two burn wounds were randomly divided into two groups. One group was dressed with honey wax and olive oil (intervention) and another wound was dressed with SSD (control). The instruments included the Burn Wound Healing Checklist, Demographic and Clinical questionnaire, and Visual Analogue Scale. Data were analyzed using independent t-test and repeated measures analysis of variance tests in SPSS 23 software.
