Abstract

Haemodynamic support during lung transplantation (LTx) is conventionally provided by cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) requiring high doses of heparin. Extra Corporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) can provide similar haemodynamic support with minimal heparin doses, potentially improving outcomes. We analysed our outcomes comparing both of these approaches.
