Abstract

The dynamic behaviour of the torque control loop is investigated for four control schemes applied to individual drive systems with current controlled frequency converters. For all methods some transients which show the dynamic response, are presented. These transients have been measured at a laboratory drive by means of a real time calculator which is able to calculate quantities such as electromagnetic torque, torque angle, flux and slip frequency. A general dynamic diagram, derived for an induction machine fed by a current controlled frequency converter, is used to explain the presented results.
