Abstract

This paper presents a dual-buck full-bridge inverter (DBFBI) with different inductor structures. All power devices operate at each half line cycle, and the freewheeling current flows through the independent diodes instead of the body diodes of the switches. Shoot-through problem does not exist. However, the DBFBI has four inductors, so the weight and volume of the inverter may be large. In order to reduce the weight and volume of the DBFBI, different coupled inductor structures are discussed. A 1-kVA DBFBI with different inductor structures are simulated to verify the theoretical analysis. Simulation results show that the DBFBI with two inductors coupled has higher efficiency.
