Abstract

During a DNA database construction and population study in China we observed a special genotype at D S locus which was misjudged by seven out of ten different STR multiplex systems Allele typing results acquired by using ten diverse STR multiplex kits PowerPlex reg Fushion C nbsp PowerPlex reg nbsp PowerPlex reg nbsp ACGU reg EX nbsp AppliedBio reg HuaXiaBaijin nbsp SureID reg PanGlobal nbsp GoldeneyeTM A nbsp GoldenEyeTM nbsp A nbsp AppliedBio reg GlobalFiler HuaDa reg YanHuagn and then analyzed by GeneMapper reg software In this paper we conclude the reasons for the misjudgment of this allele as well as how to reduce these kinds of errors during STR analysis

Highlights

  • EBV expression varies with gender: Male patients are more likely to be EBV positive than are female patients

  • We have proposed the measles virus as a possible biologic agent related to classic Hodgkin lymphoma, at least in young adult patients

  • Apoptosis of HRS cells – conclusions: Apoptotic index lower than median was related with b) MV antigens expression was associated with ER (p=.018); with Ki-67
