Abstract
This book presents several different approaches to realize chiral plasmonic near-field sources. In this chapter, we summarize the most important findings of these approaches and compare the resulting near-field sources regarding their usability for chiroptical spectroscopy. We conclude that chiral eigenmodes carry the highest potential for sensitivity enhancement, while plasmonic racemates can be implemented in current circular dichroism spectroscopy schmes with the lowest effort.
