Abstract
Background: Using alternate light sources requires a filter to block the illuminating source to allow fluoresced light (with longer wavelength) to be observed.1 Absorptive filters are dye based. Dichroic filters use thin-film interference. It was proposed their selectivity could be beneficial for use with alternate light sources.
