Abstract

Coronary Multidetector Computed Tomography Angiography (CCTA) is a robust method for the detection of coronary artery disease (CAD), with high diagnostic accuracy for morphologic assessment of coronary artery stenosis. Vasodilator contrast-enhanced CT Myocardial Perfusion Imaging (CT MPI) has been used for the identification of perfusion abnormalities as a surrogate of myocardial ischemia, with good correlation with Technetium radionuclide based Methods of myocardial perfusion Imaging. Rubidium-82 Positron Emission Tomography (Rb PET) Myocardial Perfusion Imaging is considered the gold standard for the assessment of myocardial ischemia in CAD.
