Abstract
Cultivation conditions and occurrence of major diseases at growing and harvesting stages were investigated to cultivate strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa Duch.) in an environment-friendly way in Jeollanam-do province. Major diseases in environment-friendly strawberry cultivation were found to be Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. fragariae Winks and William) and anthracnose (Colletotrichum gloeosporioides) during the planting period and powdery mildew (Sphaerotheca aphanis) and gray mold (Botrytis cinerea) during the harvesting, respectively. There was no significant difference between environment friendly farming system (EFFS) and conventional farming system (CFS) in the chemical and physical properties of soil as well as soil invertebrate's diversity by the natural degree index.
