Abstract
Crosswell seismic has made great advances in China in such key areas as manufacturing equipment, acquisition methods, and interpretation techniques. More than 10 tests have been conducted in oil fields in the 1990s. As a result of these tests, we have concluded one of the most important factors hindering development of this technology is the lack of an adequate downhole source.
