Abstract

Radar design system and Stealth design system have been continuously developed. Radar cross section(RCS) is required in order to develop the systems, but it takes a lot of time for measuring RCS. Therefore, in general, M&S(modeling and simulation) is performed to predict target's RCS values. Nowadays, there are a lot of M&S for calculating RCS values such as WIPL-D, FEKO, HFSS-IE. Because each analysis method and performance simulation time for M&S tools is different, it is necessary to analysis the strength and weakness of each simulation. In this paper, we perform RCS M&S in the same environment using WIPL-D, FEKO and HFSS-IE, and compare the RCS data, simulation time and required computer resources in order to examine the reliability and efficient analysis for RCS.
