Abstract

Rationale: Vegetarianism is an increasingly popular style of eating, especially in young adults, and could negatively influence bone health and body composition. The objective of this study was to compare body composition, muscle mass and strength, bone mineral density (BMD), and indicators of bone turnover between young vegetarian and non-vegetarians.
