Abstract

Although in vitro maturation-in vitro fertilization (IVM-IVF) program has been successfully applied into human ART program for PCO patients, the pregnancy rate of this procedure is still low. This disadvantage is caused by poor maturation of human immature oocytes and no synchronization with implantation windows. So, one of the key points for successful IVM procedure is the establishment of optimal maturation medium for proper cytoplasmic maturation, fertilization and development. This study was performed to find a proper basic medium for better quality of oocytes and embryos by comparing two types of commercial IVF media.
